The Pretty Things est le premier album du groupe du même nom, sorti en 1965. Il se compose en grande partie de reprises de titres de Bo Diddley ou Chuck Berry, avec seulement trois titres originaux. Fidèles à leur réputation, les Pretty Things jouent tellement fort lors de la première séance d'enregistrement que le producteur jette l'éponge. Il est remplacé par le batteur Bobby Graham. The Pretty Things is the self-titled debut album by the English rock band Pretty Things, which features mostly R&B and rock and roll cover versions. A re-issue released in 2000 on CD featured every track from both the American and British versions of the album. The liner notes were written by Jimmy Duncan and Bryan Morrison. (en)
The Pretty Things è un il primo album discografico dell'omonimo gruppo musicale rock inglese, pubblicato dall'etichetta discografica Fontana Records nel marzo del 1965. L'album contiene il brano Rosalyn, pubblicato in precedenza (giugno 1964) come singolo ed entrato in classifica (UK) raggiungendo la quarantunesima posizione, Honey I Need ebbe maggior fortuna, toccò la tredicesima posizione, ancora meglio fece il brano Don't Bring Me Down (che in seguito fu inserito nella versione statunitense dell'album) che raggiunse la decima posizione di classifica e rimase il maggior singolo di successo nella storia del gruppo.
