The Spokesmen was een Amerikaanse popgroep, die bestond uit drie zangers: John Medora, David White en Ray Gilmore. De groep bracht in augustus 1965 zijn eerste single uit, The Dawn of Correction, een antwoordlied op Barry McGuires protestlied Eve of Destruction. De plaat werd een klein hitje, maar de groep bleef een eendagsvlieg. Tussen 1965 en 1967 maakte ze nog een paar platen, die geen succes hadden, waarna de leden er een punt achter zetten.

Co-composers White and Medora had previously co-written several hit singles, including "At the Hop" for Danny and the Juniors; "You Don't Own Me" for Lesley Gore; and "1-2-3" for Len Barry. White died on March 16, 2019, at the age of 79. The Spokesmen were among hundreds of artists whose material was destroyed in the 2008 Universal fire.
