Thomas Whitmore (16 November 1782 – 6 February 1846) was an English Whig politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1806 to 1831. Whitmore was the eldest son of Thomas Whitmore of Apley Park, Stockton, Shropshire and his wife Mary Foley and was educated at Eton College (1796-79) and Christ Church, Oxford (1799). He was recorder of the borough of Bridgnorth and lay Dean of the royal peculiar of Bridgnorth. In 1806 Whitmore was elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Bridgnorth, holding the seat until 1831.
