Ubisoft ist ein französischer Publisher für Computerspiele mit Sitz in Montreuil. Gegründet wurde das Unternehmen 1986 von den Guillemot-Brüdern. Seit seiner Gründung ist Ubisoft zu einem der größten Publisher in der Branche aufgestiegen und unterhält mit über 14.000 Angestellten in über 40 Standorten die meisten internen Entwicklungskapazitäten. Ubisofts Standorte setzen sich sowohl aus selbst gegründeten Entwicklerstudios wie Ubisoft Montreal oder Ubisoft Montpellier, als auch erworbenen Studios wie Massive Entertainment oder Blue Byte zusammen. While Ubisoft set up many in-house studios itself, such as Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Paris, the company also acquired several studios, such as Massive Entertainment, Red Storm Entertainment, Reflections Interactive and FreeStyleGames. Ubisoft's studios often cooperate with each other in their projects, sharing different development duties. Assassin's Creed Unity, released in 2014, saw ten studios worldwide work together. (en)
