Thermopsis is a genus that exists only in Central Asia and the United States of East America, and the Thermopsis turcica species that belongs to this genus is only available in Turkey. Thermopsis turcica was discovered by Turkish botanists in 1982 and is only on the shores of Akşehir and Eber lakes on earth. It is known that this species will soon be destroyed in nature and is in very dangerous category (critically endangered-CR). The local names of this species are Eber Yellow or Yellow licorice. Thermopsis turcica has large rhizome and upright body. The body length is 35-80 cm long, its flowers are yellow. Long, soft hairs are on the body and leaves. Leaves are trifoliate. Flowers are usually on the edge and in the form of a cluster. The twists are thick white, the turns are yellow and approximately twenty-five mm. The ovarium is three-carb. Thermopsis turcica’s habitat was damaged because the Akşehir and Eber lakes were dry, and the herb destroyed by farmers in the region. Other than that, the plant's seeds are eaten by insects, so it's very difficult for the plant to spread and reproduce with seeds. On the other hand, the herb is not consumed by animals and is not used for pharmaceutical production. They can also reproduce with their rhizome. These properties are resistant to their extinction. The most important feature about Thermopsis turcica is that it gives three fruits from one flower. (en)
