- Walter Dirks (* 8. Januar 1901 in Hörde (jetzt Dortmund); † 30. Mai 1991 in Wittnau) war ein deutscher katholischer Publizist, Schriftsteller und Journalist. Er gilt als einer der prägendsten Intellektuellen der Bonner Republik. Nach ihm, und seit 2000 auch nach seiner Ehefrau Marianne Dirks, ist der Frankfurter Walter-und-Marianne-Dirks-Preis benannt, der seit 1995 verliehen wird. (de)
