William Galley was an English professional footballer who played in the Football League for Glossop as a left half. Galley played for Nantwich before appearing for Crewe Alexandra in the Lancashire League. He signed for Crewe Town in November 1900 and after returning to Nantwich, Will then moved on to Shrewsbury Town in September 1902. A draper’s assistant in his youth, in July 1903 he signed for Glossop then playing in the Second Division and made his League debut at Burton United, 05/09/1903. The left half had a two-month trial at Bolton Wanderers in September 1904 but it didn’t lead to a permanent deal and he returned to Shrewsbury in November 1904.
