Naomi Ready for AOU Debut - IGN (original) (raw)

Sega and its third parties are busily preparing their latest bevy of Naomi-based titles for display at Japan's largest arcade game show, the AOU (Amusement Operators Union) exposition. Set to get underway in two weeks time, the event will serve as proving ground for at least one brand-new Naomi game, and there's even the chance that Capcom's second effort on the hardware will show itself.

On display will be the already announced House of the Dead II, Power Stone, Dynamite Baseball, Crazy Taxi, Ring Out 4X4, and Zombie Zone. Scheduled to surface for the first time in public will be Tecmo's highly-anticipated fighting sequel, Dead or Alive II. Even more tantalizing, Capcom's Strider 2, a game that (as of latest indications) will also be running on Sega's Dreamcast-compatible arcade hardware, is now expected to come out of hiding at AOU.

Our man in Japan, Max Everingham, will be on-hand at AOU to issue up-to-the-minute reports. We'll have more details concerning software scheduled to show at exposition in the coming days.
