Eclipse Graphical Editing Framework (GEF) (original) (raw)

The Eclipse Graphical Editing Framework™ (GEF) provides Eclipse-integrated end-user tools in terms of a Graphviz authoring (DOT editor, DOT Graph view) and a word cloud rendering environment (Tag Cloud view), as well as framework components (Common, Geometry, FX, MVC, Graph, Layout, Zest, DOT, and Cloudio) to create rich graphical Java client applications, Eclipse-integrated or standalone.

For detailed information about how to get started, consider the GitHub README.

The GEF classic components components Draw2d, GEF (MVC), and Zest are enhanced at https://github.com/eclipse/gef-classic. They are still an integral part of the Eclipse ecosystem and will be included in the simultaneous release. Contributions by the community are welcomed.
