Ansião (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɐ̃siˈɐ̃w] ) is a municipality in Leiria District in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 13,128,[1] in an area of 176.09 km².[2]

The present[_when?_] Mayor is António José Domingues, elected by the Socialist Party. The municipal holiday is Ascension Day.

Administratively, the municipality is divided into 6 civil parishes (freguesias):[3]

Ansião is twinned with the cities of Erbach in Germany, the Brazilian cities of Santos and São Vicente, and Mosteiros in the Cape Verdian Islands.[4]
