Bloomsbury Ephemera Fair (original) (raw)

Bloomsbury is an area in the very heart of London, historically famous for its association with the arts; the Bloomsbury Group, the [lesser known] Bloomsbury Gang and the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood all made it their base at one time or another, and the British Museum sits at its centre, formerly housing the British Library Reading Room.

Religion and academia have their champions & bastions in Bloomsbury too, with Nicholas Hawksmoor’s St George’s Church to the south, and the The Bloomsbury Colleges (Birkbeck, SOAS, et al) and UCL to name but a few of the venues for academic excellence that pepper this area of London.
