Mathews has spent nearly three decades in research and discovery on autoimmune diabetes, a disease that affects both humans and animals.

For the first time, the researchers have performed comprehensive genomic profiling of angiosarcoma cells.

The college’s No. 6 ranking marks nearly a decade of sustained excellence and top-10 recognition as a national leader in veterinary education.

Fleming, CVM’s 2026 40 Under 40 honoree, is a triple Gator (BS ’08, MS ’10, DVM ’14) and is best known as “Dr. Cassi” on NAVC’s VetFolio Voice.
