Ancient Sages of the Blessed Land by Mc-Kid on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

These costumes were both made by :iconlaughingpineapple: in the distant years in which she still liked The Legend of Zelda... an appropriate introduction to set the melancholic mood of these deviations.
All the credit for them goes to her. Here you can see a photo of her Laruto cosplay and here one of her Fado cosplay.

She asked me to join a tWW group wearing her Fado costume at Cartoomics (an Italian convention) in 2006, and as a fan of the Sages of The Wind Waker (all four of them, but especially the old ones) I accepted. We even did a skit with a friend cosplaying tWW Ganondorf, in which he killed us proclaiming his rule of the world. It was tragic both in content and end result, since we didn't have the time to rehearse or even to memorize our (inspired) lines. That day I decided never to do any more acting on stage if not carefully prepared. Here you can even see a photo of that acting experience.
Apart from that, having the Two Sages together was pretty cool, so I'm going to post some of the photos taken that day that I've recently manipulated to put the characters back on backgrounds resembling the Hyrule from which they come. I used stills of German castles found on the web and of Patagonian landscapes taken personally during a trip years ago. I am perfectly aware that they are very bad edited, but they may still be better than the dull convention backgrounds.
