New year already mmm? Well not much to report on so far, apart from having two nasty colds hit in December, that still have me with a chesty cough. Squirl ended up getting it as well and he's still not well.

On Henry releated news, had to get the vet out as I noticed he wasn't eating well.. mostly due to obvious mouth discomfort. So got his teeth looked at and he had sharp points so he's feeling better in the mouth, and I've a vets bill ;)

What else? New cooker that took two weeks to get installed.

Work is being its usual odd self.

Only 'vacation' lined up so far is to attend Confuzzled in May, which should be fun I hope!

The state of the Uni. HI all

Well its been a while so its a good idea I slap some words down on LJ.

I'm still suffering with a woozy head. Doc has no idea, so the latest thing to try is my neck. Physio told me they don't think its this causing the head issue, but I do have some neck problems so I'm 'necksersizing' it ;) (its not helping much, infact today my head has been terrible)

What else? We finally decorated the living room. its all nice and stripey! the task of clearing out a lot of old crap is continuing.

Henry horse has had his fair share of wounds of late, seems the ladies he gets turned out with have been kicking on him.. we suspect Hippo's been feeling his oats of late.
I'm also booked in for a private lesson as I feel I need a refresher since I've picked up some bad habits of late.

What else? not much, Squirl and I are still plodding on. We both just want our various little health issues to be sorted.

7 Years.. Well, today is Squirl and Mine 7 year anniversary as Civil Partners.

It's certainly had its ups and downs, but I'd not wish to change it.. well maybe that one year being out of work ;) or the broken ankle and other illnesses we've both had..

I'm a very very lucky old hoss. I love my Squirl dearly. Roll on the next 7 and the next!

Manic Birthday was Manic! Phew! Friday was manic!

I have the car booked in to check on the oil consumption. I also had to get my vitamin jab at the doc.

it was also my birthday!

Went around to get the car back, and was told that it wasn't the known fault. its the injectors. would cost about 2.5k in all to repair. the car is not worth that.

So, I pick up a Toyota Auris HSD hybrid on tuesday ;) I ended up buying a 12 plate hybrid for less than book and managed to get 2k deposit from my car too. should be cheaper to run as well.

We shall see! its also very shiny and blue!

I also got as part of my official birthday, from my lovely squirl - the Limited Edition Animal Crossing 3DS XL pack! so been playing that a lot too!

Updates a plenty.. Hi all.

lets see...

Confuzzled was last week! was probably one of the best cons I've been too in an age. so many friends, so many good times.

Sigh..

Got concrud(tm) though so feeling less than stellar.

Having regular jabs now for my vitamin b12 deficiency and chewing lots of Vit D too. its not making the head any different. in fact I think its just as bad as before :(

My car is consuming oil. getting it looked at next week to see if its a known issue and if it is, will they replace the entire engine for free? we will see!

News arrives in two's.. HI all.

Okay. news time -

1. Henry update. He had bloods taken and the vet finally called today. they also took gut fluid to test for Peritonitus. that test came back negative, so it appears he has an infection. He's on Antibiotics and been told to take a couple of weeks off on rest. they will do another blood work next week to see if he's on the mend.

So, some relief there!

2. I get home tonight, there's mail waiting for me.. its from the ENT specialist who asked for the MRI. my head apparently is normal, there are no signs of an Auditory Neuroma. so relief there, but back to square one since I'm currently still quite woozy. so back to the doc's I go I guess.

All I need now is a snap shot of my MRI results.. mmmm, wonder if my doc has them?

And now we wait.. *tap tap* hello?

Oh, well if there is anyone out there.. I had my MRI scan this week. Now its a matter of waiting a couple of weeks or so to see if they find something causing this 5 month long woozy head of mine.

It was my first one as well, but now I have a better idea what a microwavable meal feels like! So noisy, hot and claustrophobic too!

Yet more updates. I have my date(s) now - I'm actually having a MRI scan on the old hoss head come April, and in May I'm having a follow up glaucoma checkup to see if my left eye has gotten worse.

I do hope they don't find any brain related, but part of me wants them to find something wrong that can be fixed. I hate feeling so woozy all the time.

Finally had my appointment.. Well that took time, but I finally had my Ear, Nose and Throat appointment today.

I had an hearing test, that not only included listening to beeps with headphones, but a bone-conductive setup too.

I have a mid range asymmetry issue in the right ear, which is where I experience most of my problems.

They don't think its inner ear, my balance is all fine.

So due to the issue in the ear, they want to give me a CT Scan at somepoint (can't have an MRI, due to the steel in my ankle) to make sure its not a Acoustic Neuroma - basically a hearing nerve brain tumor thing.

So, we move on to the next stage of not knowing what is wrong with my woozy head. and this time there's a worry..

That was a bit of a gap! Oops, looks like I forgot to post stuff.

Okay so whats happened?

I've been dizzy/woozy since mid december, seen the doc 4 times and now being referred to Ear, Nose n throat. thats happening in March. I'm still woozy, its annoying and isn't making for happy fun horse.

Also, after a year wondering, I finally had my glaucoma referral yesterday. after a batch of horrible eye tests and torture, my left eye is at risk. so in 6 months, I get another checkup to see if its worse or not. So, a chance my left eye can go blind in the future. lets hope it doesn't get worse.

Hmm, apart from that, We're attending Confuzzled 2013. we're looking at a vacation some where outside the UK but thats not decided on yet.

My Car is returned! Okay, so this week they finally fixed the car. its cost over £800 to get it back.

I'm thinking though that I may be looking to replace this with something slightly newer and perhaps downsize since we don't need a car that large now.

I will admit from driving around in a couple of new cars, how 'loose' mine feels now. well it is 7 years old after all.

got road tax and MOT due in January as well. sigh.

How much more bad luck? Lets go through this week -

Monday - Laptop decides its not going to start - just reboot at some point. after a day wrestling with it, I got it stable again. possible HD issues? or is it software?

Tuesday - drive to work in the morn, all fine. drive home, notice a slight sluggishness on acceleration on a slip road. during the trip back, all the main warning lights come on. I manage to limp it home. called the dealer and booked it in for weds morn.

weds - limped the car to the dealer. it produced plumes of smoke and diesel smell, ran very very rough then settled down. picked up arranged courtesy tiny car. said they would call if they got chance to look it over. they called 5pm. car needs a new Manifold. gonna cost 633.00 quid, and could be weeks. so they've arranged a hire car to cover me for it.

friday - take back courtesty car on my day off (working sunday), sigh at the Blue GT-86 in the show room again. go home and wait for Enterprise to come pick me and squirl up and present us with....

urgh.. its a Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 sxi. its small, crappy and meh. if I put my foot down on the clutch in the 'wrong' way, I can feel the steering column moving against my foot! its not nice. and its now my transport for weeks.

So thats my week, on top of everything else, I have a huge bill which I don't need. i've had to tag on a full service too since its close enough to be done. right before Christmas too.

my stress levels have not had chance to go down.

I survived.. We got told monday. was one of my colleagues that got let go. masses of relief, but still sick this happened. lost a good member of our team, and we had near 3 weeks of stress. I'm now trying to come to terms with all this and to try and unwind from it.

now we have to work with less hands and with less experience.

Job woe time again. Today we got told that the company I work for is doing pretty badly. Management in their infinite wisdom have deemed that 20% of the global workforce must fall on their swords and be gone.

This translates into 1 out of our 3 person support team has to go.

They start talking to us from thursday. they have a list of criteria of what they will be waying you up against, like training, customer skills.. which makes me think they already know who's going.

So I guess by friday I'm either out of work, or sighing with relief.

I spent a year out of work as you know. came so very close to break down and worse then. I don't think I could cope with being out of work again.

Its just terrible. the way this has been handled. this is down to Management never listening and being too slow to adapt to a changing environment. Its always the staff, who work as best as they can that pay for these mistakes.

I'm just sick to my tummy right now, stressed and fretting.

Things change.. Hi All.

Things do seem to be changing about here. Work has changed somewhat. I just worked my first Weekend day shift. got another Sunday work next weekend as well.

it was the first, maybe things will improve. I'm allowed to work from home so I have all the comforts, but I stuffed myself into the spare room and closed the door. its lonely I tell you, you have little to no backup. you can't bat idea's around, you're in this isolated support bubble.

ah well.

Updates again! Hello all!

Okay, not much to report on to be honest. Mostly stuff going on around me at the moment.

Things like, losing three people that I knew in the space of two weeks. Pebble, Margaras and S'a'alis. Two I knew and met in rl, one online only. Its been somewhat of a downer to be honest.

Work is going through some upheaval. To be honest, its been stressing me some and has me concerned for the future. we will have to see how the forthcoming changes that are being put on us will go.

Henry is doing ok as well, the suppliments he's are keeping him active which is good. he's lost some muscle mass in his hinds, but he's still looking really good for 22years old! I love my old hoss!

Squirl is doing fine as well, though work has had him busy as well. His new meds for his head seem to be better than the last lot so no manic mood swings, but still not 'normal'. I hope it will settle down some.

Sweden was good! indeed it was! had a good time, even if it meant sooo much walking about, my ankle has needed a week to recover from the week of walking! it was also very expensive!

We visited with friends, saw Kolmarden zoo, went to Stockholm and went to a fur meet there as well out in a park. it was a good time indeed!

Squirl and I will be going to visit a certain fox out there, help celebrate his birthday and just try to unwind and forget about things.

Not posted in a while.. Ah Livejournal.. let me blow some cobwebs off you.

Things over here are progressing. my physio finally said I could ride, so this coming weekend I get back onto Henry for the first time in 6 months.

The ankle is improving well.

Work is still going on as well, even with many changes now and more to come in the future.

But, I do suspect that Twitter is turning into a tool I'm using more and more, compared to LJ. Its more instant than here I guess.
