‘Transformers 3′ Action Sequence Recycled From ‘The Island’ (original) (raw)
JL4882d ago
Eh, that title makes it sound more "controversial" than it really is. This is no different than using stock footage I don't think. especially when you're talking about a multi-car wreck like that that I'm sure costs tons of money to do.
Crazyglues4881d ago
Yeah this is just some clever recycling... LoL
-(and who says you can't use that crash scene more then once, you show them Micheal bay) Whatever it cost to smash that car he just saved the movie studio the price of having to smash that car all over again...

Didn't notice that until after I posted and didn't care enough to edit so now I'll just say that he's a lazy ass director.

i read somewhere that stuntwomen had a really bad accident, so they had to replace the scene she was doing

I'm sorry, but the car scene from the island is taken from bad boys 2 car scene the. That is used in transformers 3. Bay is good for repeating and astroids. That's it. He's a 90's director in a modern age. It shocks me that directors like this still get jobs because he had two hit films and people that's are amazing struggle sometimes. Just as bad as ronald emmerich

maybe its cause most people find his films entertaining. Case in point, all of his movies make tons of money.. its not like hes a one hit wonder. Not like any of his movies have failed... ever..
Dont get me wrong.. the 2nd transformers was garbage story wise, but it still had entertainment value.

Haven't seen it yet so no comment.

I honestly don't know why some people like transformers so much. Maybe they see the movies just for effects and immediately think it's good. Half of the people I know that love the movies have no idea about the story or characters. I don't know how many transformers fans are out there, but if I were them, I'd be pissed.

It is not that serious. Let us know when you release your version of the franchise and see how close you can get to what fans expect. Looking forward to it.

If I was a director and had the opportunity to do it, I'd get pretty close, at least I wouldn't sacrifice A GOOD STORY for big cgi effects to wow the crowds.

Great. Now go out and actually do it and show them how it is done. Your just on the sidelines talking.

Looking Forward to Bad Boys 3 hope it aint a repeat of Rush Hour 3... They gotta get these movies out before the cast get too old like Men in Black 3, that new die hard, rambo, rocky, i still wanna see Chris Tucker in some movies and Jason Statham, like those CRANK, Transporter movies, those guys still sorta young.... Hope no more Lethal Weapon also

Did anyone notice Steve Jablonskys Transformers OST soundtrack sounds like re-hashed "The Island" tracks too (worked on both with bay)

I dunno what you people are seeing but the scenes are anything alike. I mean sure their both on a high way other than that. There is no resemblance.
On a side not, both of the movies were pretty bad.. so there is that comparison.

check out that white truck on the left of both scenes

They found out why, there was accident on the set, and left an extra paralyzed.
