Tomorrow Never Knows continues at Schubas. TNK is a music festival featuring up-and-coming indie artists. Tonight's bands are: Department Of Eagles, Disappears,

Open rehearsal @ Victory Gardens Theater

The Victory Gardens Theater presents an "open rehearsal," which is a chance for the public to be involved in the rehearsal of an upcoming production. Tonight you have a chance to see "Living Green", the first production to be given this treatment. You'll see a 30-minute rehearsal of the play and participate in a talkback session with the director and cast. The event starts tonight at 6pm. George McGovern @ Freedom Museum

Retired Sen. George S. McGovern speaks at the McCormick Freedom Museum, 445 N. Michigan Ave., tonight from 6pm to 7:30pm. "Serving as a U.S. Representative for South Dakota from 1956-1960, a U.S. Senator from 1963-1981 and Democratic nominee for president in 1972 McGovern has achieved this impressive resume all on his own. A natural historian by training, Sen. McGovern offers insight on why Americans hold Pres. Abraham Lincoln in such high esteem, and why he remains the standard by which all of his successors are measured. He will also provide thoughts on the future of the new president." Unofficial Notes for a People's Atlas of Chicago Day

Join AREA Chicago in Wicker Park today for two events related to its Notes for a People's Atlas of Chicago project. The first is a collaboration with Around the
Coyote Festival which involves an exhibition of all of our Peoples Atlas of Chicago maps at the Wicker Park Field House (1425 N Damen Ave, Chicago) from 5-8pm. Then head down the street from 8pm-10pm to STOP SMILING Magazine's Storefront (1371 N. Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL) where there will be a celebration of Experimental Geography, a book about mapping and art that features AREA's Peoples Atlas project. Eamon Grennan @ The Art Institute of Chicago

Pushcart Prize-winning poet Eamon Grennan reads at The Art Institute's Fullerton Hall, 111 South Michigan Ave., at 6pm. A Dublin native and professor at Vassar College, Grennan has published over ten volumes of poetry, translation, and essays, most recently Matter of Fact (Graywolf Press). The event is co-sponsored by the Poetry Foundation. Admission is free.

World Kitchen Learning Series: Choose & Use
