Scholarships & Grants | Gilbert Bayes (original) (raw)
Scholarship awards of up to £1,000 are available from the Gilbert Bayes Charitable Trust for sculptors undertaking post-graduate work, to assist them in their studies on a first-come basis.
Anyone wishing to apply for a grant should provide a proposal and CV, together with references from the Head of Sculpture at their college and a personal reference. The Trustees will also require a written report of no more than 500 words on completion of the assignment. Please send your application to [email protected]
In addition the Trust contributes to the Royal Society of Sculptors Gilbert Bayes Award (previously the Bursary Awards), which is given annually by the Society to a small group of outstandingly talented sculptors. Selected by the sculptor members of the Society’s Board, the award provides vital support during what can be a difficult transition from study to professional practice. Award winners receive a year’s worth of professional development as well as inclusion in a group exhibition. For further information, please contact the RSS direct.
