However, this is not exactly Supernatural fanfiction - it uses SPN as a starting point, but then wanders off and doesn't worry about complying to SPN canon very much.

Not that the SPN writers do, but still. Ahem.

Previously on: This is actually the fourth installment in a Castiel/Ruby series written by myself and novin_ha (see The reading order below). While I would recommend reading the prequels, what you need to know is that in this verse Anna turned evil, and Ruby was recruited to kill her. Castiel and Ruby have become something of an item, and they are working together to prevent the Apocalypse.

Author's notes: I hoped to have the story written by the end of 2009, but real life deadlines and problems got in the way. I'm starting to post it now, though, and I will try to work on the four remaining chapters in the near future. Fingers crossed.

Small Graces has begun partly as a reaction to 4.22, and then sort of took on a life of its own.
