About Us
Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia (JASGP) is a private nonprofit organization that has inspired mutual curiosity, understanding, and collaboration between Japan and Philadelphia for more than 30 years through art, business, and culture.
JASGP operates the Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center, produces the annual Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Philadelphia, presents a US-Japan Business & Public Policy Series, and provides Japanese arts, business, cultural, and educational programming for all ages.

Shofuso is the perfect destination for smaller wedding ceremonies in the Philadelphia area, hosting up to 40 people comfortably. The serene backdrop of our traditional Japanese garden will create so many unforgettable memories and picturesque moments for you and your guests.
Celebrate Japanese holidays and festivals at Shofuso. These annual events bring a taste of Japan to Philadelphia. Events include the Cherry Blossom Festival, Obon and Children’s day, as well as others throughout the year.
Group Tours at Shofuso are available for 10 to 40 people. Each group tour includes a private, guided tour of the house and garden, and will have the option to include multiple add-on programs such as tea tasting and feeding the koi fish.
