Anton Kaplanyan

Graphics Research

I enjoy advancing research in computer graphics with current focus on real-time graphics, including neural rendering, perceptual rendering, light transport simulation, shading and appearance, as well as differentiable rendering. Some of my inventions include Light Propagation Volumes in CryEngine, NVIDIA RTX hardware, and LightRig light editing technology licensed and used by leading film companies, as well as perceptual and neural graphics at Meta and lately shaping the new line of discrete, integrated and datacenter GPU products at Intel, yielding over 50 patents and 3200+ citations. My technologies are implemented used in GPUs, middleware, major film renderers, and major game engines and games. My PhD is on Monte Carlo light transport simulation, also a former gamedev at Crytek.
