The Spanish Autonomous Model in Poland? The Political Concept of the Silesian Autonomy Movement (original) (raw)

Abstract

This paper’s main aim is to show the Polish state’s decentralisation problem, seen from the Silesian Autonomy Movement’s perspective (_Ruch Autonomii Śląska_—RAŚ). The paper presents a brief historical background about the idea of autonomy in Upper Silesia, the RAŚ postulate of introducing some Spanish and German institutional solutions into the Polish political system, and empirical dates that show the social response of the state regionalisation idea.
