Welcome to femelle_stills, an icon challenge created by sketchedhearts, dedicated to our female celebrities. Here, we give you the opportunity to take the gorgeous pictures of our female models, actresses, singers, socialites and designers and turn them into wonderful works of art in a competitive, yet positive way.

Yes, it is a competition, but that doesn't mean you can't show off your skills – no matter what level you are at. We do, however, have a certain standard of icons. If you are a beginner, that is fine, however we do NOT want icons that, through anyone’s eyes, can be seen as poorly created and designed. In a nutshell, we don't want submissions made in MS Paint. Professionalism is what we are aiming at.

If you are not a graphic artist, surely, there is something for you to do here! Of course, you can vote. You are just as important as our graphic artists. And, with prior permission from the artist, you can even use an icon that you like.

Winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd and Mod's Choice) will receive their very own award banner. Winners and challenges are archived HERE.

; RULES ;
01. Criticism within the community is not welcome. Please respect others and their work.
02. No plagiarism will be tolerated. All work must be original.
03. Submissions must be subject to the rules of that challenge.
04. You may only use the images provided UNLESS otherwise notified.
05. Any brushes, textures, text, patterns etc. may be used, again, UNLESS otherwise notified.
06. Only one icon per challenge may be submitted, unless otherwise stated.
07. No animation permitted. This is a permanent rule and will never change. It is a ‘Stillness’ community and therefore will not accept animation.
08. If two or more images are provided, you may blend them together, or simply choose one image. Remember, only one icon per challenge, unless otherwise notified.
09. Icons must be compatible with LiveJournal's standards. (GIF, JPG, and PNG format. 40kb and 100x100 maximum.)
10. No obscene language and/or sexually explicit content.
11. Entries must be submitted prior the deadline (see below for timeline). Icons submitted after the deadline will be ignored and not added to the poll. No exceptions.
12. Do not reveal your icon until after the winners have been announced. This will prevent members voting according to maker.
