Martin,
When I try this I still run into a problem:
gcc -Xlinker -export-dynamic -o python
Modules/python.o
libpython2.1.a -lpthread -ldl -lutil -lm
PYTHONPATH= ./Lib
/bin/sh: ./Lib: is a directory
make: *** [sharedmods] Error 126
make: Target `all' not remade because of errors.
--Gerry
Changes made as follows:
Build the shared modules
sharedmods: $(PYTHON) PYTHONPATH= ./Lib
PYTHONPATH= ./$(PYTHON) $(srcdir)/setup.py build
Install the dynamically loadable modules
This goes into $(exec_prefix)
sharedinstall: PYTHONPATH= ./Lib
PYTHONPATH= ./$(PYTHON) $(srcdir)/setup.py install \
--install-platlib=$(DESTSHARED)
