Some interesting maps
This page links to a few of the maps presented on this sitewhich I found interesting for some reason.
- Nordwestdeutschland 1789, showing the 1789 territories in solid colour, and simultaneously the 1905 territories with red outlines.
- Mexico u. Central-Amerika, showing a Belgian colony in Central America, bordering Guatemala, San Salvador and Honduras.
- Tribes of Issachar & Manasseh, showing two exclaves of the lands of Manasseh within the lands of Issachar. The text of this work does not mention these exclaves, let alone cite evidence for their existence.
- Polacy A,and Polacy B, showing the proportions of Polish population in and around the state of Poland, before its frontiers had been estabished.
- Electricity, showing a man with his hair standing on end.
- First, second, and third scans of the same map of "the Battle of Blenheim or Hochstadt, fought the 13th of August 1704", using fold-down overlays to show troop movements during the course of the battle.
- Map of the Principality of Mindelheim as delineated in 1706, a quaint map, in English, of this tiny German principality.
