MIFARE is NXP’s well-known brand for a wide range of contactless IC products with a typical read/write distance of 10 cm (4 inches) used in more than 40 different applications worldwide, including contactless payments, transport ticketing and access control. MIFARE products comply with the international standard ISO/IEC 14443 and can interact with Near Field Communication (NFC) allowing a seamless communication between MIFARE products and NFC-enabled mobile devices.
