Canon similarities between House/Cameron and Grissom/Sara

I am now finished with CSI season 4 and I can't help seeing the obvious similarities between canon developments for these two pairings. The timeline fits well, seasons 1-4.

This is about canon events, speculations about characters, motivation and the writing is a topic for a different, longer discussion. I am aware of what happens in CSI season 6-8, so can we hope?

House/Cameron GSR
*at first both girls try to show off, are a bit annoying and pushy

"You can't deal with your feelings for me" "You want me to be there 24/7. It's confusing"
"Do you like me?" Sara asking Gris out.

*both girls leave and the guys work to get them back
House goes to Cam twice Grissom sends Sara a plant
and agrees to a date

*exstensive flirting *guys comfort the girls
"I am proud of you" numerous times in season 1-2

*rejected girls do foolish things while relationships become angsty

Cam sleeping with Chase, Sara drinking and Gris being generally snappy
House yelling season 3 with her in season 4

*both couples grow apart after a major declaration of feelings After the Date and then after After Sara asks Gris out

*both couples explore friendship while having other romantic interests

*both girls tell their life stories to the guys who are very good listeners and it's the guys who prompt them to open up

We have yet to see anything like "Butterfield" from House, but as implied in canon the motivations for the two guys rejecting the girls are the same: afraid to loose their genious, after to get hurt and to hurt them. House's "Cameron thinks of dirt when she thinks of me" speaks for itself.

So is it possible that House/Cam will be as good as GSR? Both shows are procedural where main focus has to stay on the cases, House will most probably run for another 3 seasons. I realize that there are huge differences: Gris is very different from House and the writers are very different, but still. Is there a chance TPTB will learn from CSI?

What do you guys think? More similarities (season 1-4)?

As for me, I think it's absolutely possible and very plausible. To me, House/Cameron is the only pairing that makes sense as a "true love, serious" development. It has not yet been jeopradized by certain activities (like both Stacy and Cuddy sleeping with House without it going anywhere). The Chase/Cameron action is borderline, but since Cameron eventually decided to be a good girl and try something serious -it made the whole thing less skanky (which in my opinion is a good thing). I believe that in terms of House/Cam it should be later rather than sooner, it will make the payoff that much sweeter. And I truly believe that it's TPTB's intention. (if they figure out how to bring Cam back into the loop)

There are only so many romantic setups that can work as a The One True Pairing and I believe that House/Cameron is being setup that way. The references, the canon implications are all there and even though we hit dry spells, it's because TPTB needs to fill their arcs with something, it's because they can't reveal it all at once. GSR went arcs without action, too, but they timed the whole thing out and they gave it a "go." A very nice, very true and special "go" from what I hear; a "go" that is admittedly not over!!!
