Neoteric Art was an online art related magazine launched in 2008 by Norbert Marszalek and William Dolan to encourage open dialogue with artists concerning work, issues and the art world.

Norbert's work was recently featured in New American Paintings, Midwest Issue #125. His work has also been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries throughout the United States, including the Froelick Gallery in Portland, Oregon; Holter Art Museum in Helena, Montana; Richard Levy Gallery in Albuquerque, New Mexico; the South Bend Regional Museum of Art in South Bend, Indiana; the Texas Artist Museum in Port Arthur; the International Museum of Art in El Paso, Texas; the Evanston Art Center in Evanston, Illinois; and the Nathan D. Rosen Museum Gallery in Boca Raton, Florida.

William Dolan Co-Founder
William is a Chicago-based painter. His work explores serenity and solitude one can find walking the city streets. He has a BA in Studio Art from DePaul University and received a Smith Post-BA Scholorship for continued studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 2004, he was nominated for a Grammy for album cover art. His career spans two decades and he has work in several private collections.

Matthew Ballou
Matthew is an artist and writer originally from upstate New York. In 2007, after nearly ten years in Chicago, he took a Visiting Assistant Professor of Painting and Drawing position at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. His works have been recently exhibited at the Stedelijke Musea in Sint Niklaas, Belgium, the Elder Gallery of Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska, Ruschman Gallery in Indianapolis, IN, and have appeared in juried shows from Missouri to Maryland and Massachusetts over the last six months. His essay Second Horizon: The Changing Vision of Odd Nerdrum was the featured article in the Summer 2006 edition of Image Journal and he continues to pursue art theory and narrative writing. After starting his undergraduate career at Pratt, Ballou left for The School of the Art Institute of Chicago on a scholarship, earning a BFA in 2001. He would go on to receive an MFA from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2005.

Michael Hopkins
Michael is a writer and artist who makes drawings, paintings and sculptures. He has work in numerous museum collections including the Art Institute of Chicago. He has work in numerous corporate art collections including the Progressive Collection and the Wellcome Trust Collection in London, England. He is a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant recipient.

Bruce Thorn
Bruce earned a B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1975 and an M.F.A. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1987. He has maintained a vibrant art practice throughout his life. His works have been exhibited in the United States, Czechoslovakia, Canada and the Netherlands.
