A campaign was due to be launched by the Swindon North MP on Thursday, to scrap a European farming policy, dating back to the 1950s.
Michael Wills wants an end to the Common Agricultural Policy, set up to maintain and increase food production following World War II.
He says the policy is out of date and now costs every family in the UK 70 a year, just to support Europe's cattle.
Mr Wills hopes to bring about a reform through a campaign Scrap the Cap.
