Etoile du Sahel have re-appointed Faouzi Benzarti as their coach

Tunisian club Etoile du Sahel have re-appointed Faouzi Benzarti as their coach.

Benzarti replaces Bosnian Mehmed Bazdarevic who was fired after Sunday's 1-0 defeat by USM Monastir.

The loss cost Etoile the title and leaves them runners-up for the seventh successive season.

The 56-year-old Benzarti led Etoile to the Tunisian championship in 1987.

"The club has agreed with Benzarti to train the team for one year with a wage of 15,000 Tunisian dinars (US$11,090) per month," said Etoile official Chiheb Ben Hammouda.

Although there is just one round of the Tunisian championship remaining, Etoile face Ghana's Hearts of Oak for a place in the lucrative group stages of the African Champions League.

Etoile have finished as runners-up in the last two Champions League finals.
