A Michael Jones brace helped Bury overcome nine-man Aldershot.

Shots's Glenn Little finished Jermaine McGlashen's cross before Darren Jones saw red for fouling Nicky Ajose.

Ryan Lowe missed the resulting penalty, but Jones's double, courtesy of a cross-cum-shot and a great effort from outside the area, turned it around.

Shots forward Marvin Morgan, as well as manager Kevin Dillon, were also later sent off before Ajose's cool finish rounded off proceedings.

Aldershot boss Kevin Dillon told BBC Surrey:
"I've been involved in football since I was 16 - that's 34 years now. The performance of the referee was as bad as I've seen. I've looked at five different incidents and I'm compounded to say it was dreadful.

"I spoke to the assessor after the game and he's taken things on board.

"I feel sorry for the football team and the supporters. In the end we were down to nine men and they took the points. I'm absolutely disgusted by what has happened tonight. We are going to appeal against the two sendings-off."

Bury manager Alan Knill told BBC Radio Manchester:
"I don't like to use the word momentum but we have it at the moment. It was another good performance today after coming from a goal down.

"I thought we played pretty well and the good thing about my players is they don't sit back and want to go forward and we thoroughly deserved a comfortable win in the end.

"We're going really well but there's a long way left and you have to plan through the season because it is a long one."

"I've won manager of the month before and had a slump after it. Everybody starts to think they're great after getting it. Not saying I am going to win but if I had the choice I don't think I'd want it."
