Burton Albion have started their rebuilding for next season by releasing three players and signing Droylsden striker Jody Banim on a one-year deal.

Former Manchester United junior Banim, 30, scored 10 goals in 27 Blue Square Premier games for the Bloods last term.

But striker Jake Edwards, defender Mark Greaves and utility man David Farrell have not been offered terms.

Saul Deeney, Ryan Austin, Andy Corbett, Marc Goodfellow and Shaun Harrad have all agreed deals for next season.

Tony James, John Brayford and James Knowles were already under contract and offers have been made to the remaining players in the squad.
