Stephen Pearson scored a late goal against Benfica for Celtic
Celtic's Stephen Pearson has said he would consider a move to join Derby County in the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old midfielder has started just three matches for Celtic this season, but feels he needs to be playing more games.
He made a late appearence in Celtic's Champions League win against Benfica, netting his seventh goal for the club.
"I don't think I would like to go on loan," said Pearson. "I would maybe rather move permanently."
Pearson has appeared on the starting sheet for Celtic in 33 matches since joining the club in January 2004, just one less than his total substitute appearances for the club.

Ex-Motherwell boss Billy Davies tried to sign him for Derby in August and Pearson admits a move to join his former manager could be a tempting prospect.
"Obviously, I have been linked with Derby and my old manager," said Pearson.
"I would need to see how things go. I am at the age where I need to be playing games.
"I have said that all along and the manager knows that as well."
Speaking about his late strike in Celtic's 3-0 win against Benfica, he praised Celtic's performance and singled out the efforts of the Dutch teenager Evander Sno.
"It was nice to come on and play my part," said Pearson.
"Of course, I was looking to start the game but he [Strachan] went with Evander, who has done brilliantly.
"You can only come on and do your best."
"Benfica came here with a big reputation but we proved we have the players capable of beating anyone on our day."
