Greening asked to leave West Brom after their relegation in 2009
Fulham have confirmed the signing of midfielder Jonathan Greening from West Bromwich Albion on a two-year contract.
Greening, 31, spent last season on loan at Craven Cottage after Fulham had failed with two previous bids to sign him on a permanent basis.
The former Manchester United and Middlesbrough player had a year left on his contract at The Hawthorns.
But, after making a transfer request at Albion, he was loaned to the Cottagers only with a view to a permanent move.
Greening made 23 league appearances for Fulham last season, featuring in the Europa League final against Atletico Madrid.
Ironically, he completed his move to Craven Cottage on the same day that the man who signed him, Roy Hodgson, joined Liverpool as their new manager.
