Li Tie was limited to a handful of appearances for Everton last season

Sheffield United are poised to complete the signing of China international Li Tie after the 28-year-old was granted a work permit.

The defender was released by Everton at the end of last season following a campaign plagued by injury.

Blades boss Neil Warnock moved quickly to add Li to his squad.

Mikele Leigertwood, David Sommeil, Christian Nade and Claude Davis, who has also been granted a work permit, have all joined the Premiership side.
