Tommy Smith's last-minute penalty earned Derby a point against Hull.
Both sides made changes after ensuring survival on Saturday and they cancelled each other out early on, Hull striker Jon Parkin lashing a rare chance over.
Stuart Green put Hull ahead with a stunning 20-yard half-volley after indecision in the Derby defence.
Lee Camp saved from Green before Smith's penalty levelled it with a minute left after Scott Wiseman was seen to have pushed Paul Peschisolido.
- Derby manager Terry Westley:
"I think we deserved it and I think Hull will agree as well.
"They played very much on the counter-attack and maybe we were a bit slow getting the ball forward at times.
"By the end we had three 17-year-olds on the pitch and can take great delight from that. The players got stuck in and eventually got what they deserved." - Hull boss Peter Taylor on Derby's late penalty equaliser:
"It was a penalty. Scott Wiseman's come in and apologised to his team-mates so I think that gives you a good clue it's a penalty. I said 'did you push him?' and he said 'yes'.
"He's a young player, he had a terrific game. But he's got to learn from that, you can't afford to give fouls away or push people in the box. I thought defensively as a team we worked very hard.
"They'll get my permission to smash Scotty Wiseman on the way home!"
