Liam Kearney helped Cork win the Setanta Cup in November
Derry City have made a swift move on the opening day of the transfer window by signing Cork City's Liam Kearney.
Winger Kearney, who will be a direct replacement for Niall McGinn, has agreed a two-year deal with the Brandywell outfit.
Kearney helped Cork win the Setanta Cup in March and also won Eircom League and FAI Cup medals during his time at Turner's Cross.
The 26-year-old has also had spells at Nottingham Forest and Shelbourne.
During his stint at Shelbourne, he won an Eircom League championship medal.
Kearney has played at various under age levels for the Republic of Ireland notably in the under-21s where he won seven caps and scored on his debut against Italy.
