Alloa survived a spirited Forfar comeback to win 3-2 at Recreation Park.

They took the lead after six minutes when Kevin McDonald drilled a right-footed shot into the top corner.

They doubled their lead when McDonald grabbed his second with a ferocious shot and William Gibson made it three from David Gormley's corner.

However, Forfar pulled a goal back when Andrew Todd headed home Iain Campbell's corner. Bryan Deasley reduced the deficit further but Alloa held on.
