A close encounter gave Forfar a win against Livingston in a dour match.

In the 21st minute Livingston's Craig Barr fouled Bryan Deasley, and both players were booked following a set-to after the foul had taken place.

Livingston striker Robbie Winters then tried a 35-yard shot but it was comfortably saved by Scott Gallacher.

It took until the 72nd minute for the deadlock to be broken, when Forfar midfielder Scott Allan's drive whistled past Tony Bullock from 25 yards.
