Highlights - St Johnstone v Falkirk **St Johnstone and Falkirk had to settle for a point apiece in an open game at McDiarmid Park.**Midfielder Ryan Flynn broke the deadlock for Falkirk with a cool finish from just inside the box following good play from Burton O'Brien. Saints drew level when Filipe Morais drilled the ball past Robert Olejnik after a fine pass from Murray Davidson. Both sides passed up chances to edge the match but were guilty of wasteful finishing as the match ended in a draw. St Johnstone went in to the match six points behind Hearts, but with two games in hand, in the battle for the last top-six place. Falkirk meanwhile, were desperate for the three points that would have moved them off bottom spot in the table. Flynn carved out the first real chance of the match when he escaped the attentions of right-back Gary Irvine and fired a right-footed effort across goal but Saints keeper Graeme Smith parried the effort. Cillian Sheridan passed up a good chance for the home side after a fine ball from Morais on the right wing, the striker only managing to connect with his shoulder. Saints were looking the likelier at this stage and Sheridan flashed a header wide following a flick-on from Morais. However, Falkirk looked dangerous on the break and took the lead when O'Brien fed the ball through to Flynn who stroked the ball past Smith from 16 yards to claim his fifth goal of the season. Liam Craig came close to an equaliser with a well-struck free-kick but the ex-Falkirk man's effort went just over the bar. The goal had given the visitors confidence, and Flynn could have grabbed a second, but his shot from Pedro Moutinho's cross was straight at Smith. However, the home side equalised after intricate play between Davidson and Morais left the Portuguese winger clear in the inside left challenge and he swept the ball right-footed past Olejnik. Darren Barr latched on to a miscued clearance from Danny Grainger but failed to connect properly as his shot drifted harmlessly wide of the Saints goal. Falkirk's burly striker Enoch Showumni flashed a header well wide after Saints defender Michael Duberry was caught out of position as the Bairns tried to get back in front. Morais then flighted in a delightful free-kick only to see Duberry put his header wide of the mark with the goal at his mercy. Both sides were getting bogged down in midfield, but Saints carved out a chance when Craig turned Barr but St Johnstone's top scorer put his low shot past the post. Showumni caused havoc in the Saints box from a free-kick but, despite Smith spilling the ball, the striker could not force the ball over the line. Both sides had half chances as the game drew to a close but neither could clinch the points.
