Former Aberdeen midfielder Markus Paatelainen has agreed a deal to sign for Third Division Cowdenbeath until the end of the season.

It follows talks with his brother and Blue Brazil manager, Mixu.

Cowden say that the deal will be completed in the next few days in time for Paatelainen to be available for selection against Berwick Rangers.

The 22-year-old, released after half a season at Pittodrie, can play wide on either wing or central midfield.

He had already appeared as a trialist for Cowden against Elgin City and East Fife.
