Leeds United have completed the loan signing of West Bromwich Albion striker Rob Hulse for the rest of the season.
Hulse, 25, rejected the chance of a 1.2m move to Stoke City towards the end of the transfer window.
He started out at Crewe where he scored 45 goals in 97 games and was signed by West Brom for 750,000 in 2003.
But, despite finishing last season as the Baggies' top scorer with 13 goals, he has made only seven appearances for them this season.
"I see this as the ideal opportunity to get me playing football again," Hulse told Leeds' website.
""I'm under no illusions. I need to be playing football and I see Leeds United as the best place to be.
"I know that my match fitness is down, but I've looked after myself and I've worked extremely hard in the gym and after training.
"I know I'm fit, but it's just a case now of getting match fitness under my belt and hopefully that won't take too long."
On Thursday, Leeds secured Blackburn defender Michael Gray on a similar three-month deal.
