Jonathan Greening has admitted that he must quit Manchester United to further his own career.

The attacking midfielder has been left frustrated by his lack of first-team opportunities with the league leaders.

And despite signing a new contract at the end of last season, the 22-year-old feels that the time is now right to leave Old Trafford.

"I have to leave United," Greening said after scoring the winner for England Under-21 against Albania in Tirana on Tuesday.

"I want to play more often and I'm not getting the chance with my current club.

"I've got to look at playing week-in and week-out at this stage of my career."

He added: "I am good enough to play in any other Premier League team."
