Sunderland have made a swoop for Wigan's Republic of Ireland duo Graham Kavanagh and David Connolly.
Midfielder Kavanagh, 33, has signed for a fee of �500,000 on a three-year deal with striker Connolly, 29, also making the move for an initial fee of �1.4m.
The pair are former international team-mates of boss Roy Keane, who has also captured his former Manchester United team-mate Liam Miller.
Miller, 25, another Irish international, goes on a free transfer.
