Alex Higgins will face Fergal O'Brien in the first round
Alex Higgins goes back to his roots on Sunday morning when he bids to win a second Northern Ireland Amateur Championship - 41 years after his last.
Higgins beat former champion Maurice Gill in the 1968 final, confirming him as a potential superstar of the game, but lost to Dessie Anderson in 1969.
Now 60 years old, Higgins, two-time world champion, plays Aaron Doran from Drumaness in the QE1 Club in Belfast.
"I just decided to give it a crack," said Higgins.
