MARCH OF THE "CANE BEETLES."

The following is the programme of

volunteers' march, called the "Cane

Beetles," from Mooliba to Cairns.

Leave Mooliba on Friday, 21st arrive

Babinda 12.30; leave Babinda, Satur-

day morning, arrive Aloomba 1; leave

Aloomba 2 o'clock, arrive at Gordon-

vale 3.30; remain at Gordonvale Sun-

day; leave Gordonvale Monday morn-

ing, arrive at Edmonton, 3 o'clock;

leave Edmonton Tuesday, Anzac Day,

at 8 a.m., arriving at Cairns at 2.30.

Arrangements are being made by all

the friendly societies and unions to

march out three miles along the Mul-

grave-road to meet the volunteer

return to Norman Park with them. Ve-

hicles are being commandeered to take

the school children out to the meeting

place, and back to the park, with

the "Cane Beetles" procession.
