Six hundred residents of Somerset

Dam, Esk, Kilcoy, and other surround

ing centres, crowded the new Somer

set Hall to-night at a dance and the

dustry (Mr. J. B. Brigden), who was

accompanied by the supervising en

gineer of the Stanley River works

Board (Mr. W. H. R. Nimmo), the

resident engineer (Mr. G. Shiel), and

the secretary of the bureau (Mr. E.

Coulter),, declared the hall open. It

was constructed by the Stanley River

Works Board, and will seat about 200

persons. On two nights a week it will

be used as a picture theatre.

The hall was gaily decorated for the

occasion. Mr. Norman Jones was

M.C.,.and the. Cheerio Orchestra from

aboolture played the music.
