WHEREAS on the night of the 25th of
May lust, a room in the yard of my
house was feloniously entered, and a brown top
coat with velvet collar, a pair of black cloth
trowsers, I black kerseymere waistcoat, 1 light
figured ditto, I dark colored ditto, 1 pair of
shoes, pump soles, 2 or 3 pair of stockings, 2
white and 1 blue striped shirt, 2 silk handker-
chiefs, 2 gold seals, not engraved, and I gold
watch key, the property of my servant, John
Barrett, were stolen therefrom, I hereby offer
the above Reward for such information as will
procure the conviction of the offender or of-

went and Tamar Fire Life and Marine
Assurance Company, will be held at the Com-

ToWn, on Friday next, the 12th instant, at 2
o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of
provisionally filling the vacancy in the office of
Accountant, occasioned by the death of Mr.
THE undersigned having,, reason to know
that some evil-disposed person has been
circulating false reports as to his having gone
to Port Phillip, &c , with a view of injuring
him in his business? takes this opportunity to
assure his Friends and the Public in general,
that he has no such intention xif leaving the co-
lony, and hopes by strict attention to his Trade,
and the reasonable rate ho can afford to bring
his Tinware into the market, (thereby defying
competition when both quality and price is con-
sidered,) to meet with that support he has hi-
therto enjoyed. His establishment for the pre-
sent is removed to the Old 'Wharf.
