Quixotic Ideas is a fantasy series in a world with fully integrated magic and a generally upbeat approach. Many problems that complicate other fantasy settings have been solved here, or at least buffered somewhat. This world is Quorth (aka quixotic-Earth, or Q-Earth) roughly similar to local-Earth in geography. It ranges from historic through modern times. Canon-typical violence is on the low side of average for fantasy, as people here tend to have better problem-solving methods.
Magic in Quorth comes from various sources. People with and without magic have functional relationships with each other, as do many different species of magical beings. Qui is magical energy. Quonjury is the use of magic and quonjuring is the verb for using magic. Magical people are quixotic or quixotes. Nonmagical people are quotidian or quotides. Magical nulls are quarian or quarks. Some people are unaffected by things that cause serious problems for quixotic people and even non-null quotidian people, thus offering a different type of advantage.
