John Yemma, recently appointed editor of the Christian Science Monitor, tells of the plan and the costs for running the newspaper when it begins printing Fridays only and goes mostly online.
The cost for an approximately 80-person newsroom and eight foreign bureaus would be just 7millionayear,ifitwereallonline,and7 million a year, if it were all online, and 7millionayear,ifitwereallonline,and12 million with the Friday print edition.
