Online calculator: Morse Code Converter: Translate and Decode Messages (original) (raw)

If you enter a text that consists solely of characters like "-" (minus or dash), "*" (asterisk or star), and spaces, it will be considered Morse code. The calculator will translate it into readable text. Conversely, if the text contains any other characters, the entire text will be converted into Morse code.

To ensure accurate translation, it's essential to follow the conventions of Morse code. Since letters in Morse code have specific patterns, it's crucial to separate each letter by typing spaces. For example, "**" represents the letter "I," while "* *" represents the two "E" letters. You can also use a dot instead of a star for convenience.

Additionally, two spaces or newlines are interpreted as a word break to enhance readability. We recommend separating words with two spaces or a newline, as demonstrated in the calculator below.

In addition to the translation, our calculator also provides mnemonic results. These mnemonics serve as memory aids to help you memorize Morse codes more effectively.
